Heat and Burn

A few times (after warm up), I've accelerated harshly from say 30 mph up to 60mph say, bringing the revs into the high side (but not near the red line) before changing gear. Anyway, I notice this "heat" wafting in through the vents. Not particularly strong but noticeable. Also can smell a "burning" type smell.

Each time I've had the window down so dunno if it's from the outside or what.



Is this normal?
