Valeo LED error
« on: February 12, 2011, 10:57:43 am »
Has anyone had any issues with these with respect to warning lights? Just yesterday evening mine came on saying the rear right indicator isn't working. First time it's done this. It works on locking/unlocking and as hazards but not for indicating right. A few flashes with the hazards removes the warning and then sometimes it works. Any idea what might be wrong?

Saw this on the other thread and I'm not really sure what to suggest. It could be any number of things, possibly the signal going to the light cluster, or the light cluster itself. Try removing the connector to that light unit, leaving it a minute, and then reconnecting it. Bit of a weird one though.

Thanks, I decided to start a separate topic instead.  I'll try disconnecting it if its still doing it today. Hopefully not a major fault although I'm well within 1 year if they need to go back.  Just a pain in the arse  :fighting:

Disconnecting has not helped. I've had another look and despite the error light and fast flashing inside the light itself works as normal most of the time. I've emailed Kunzmann to see if they know what may be the problem. If anyone has any ideas please say  :happy2: Not sure if there's any way of disabling the bulb check, even so it might not be working all the time then.

.
No help to you but I haven't experienced any probs so far except some very temporary misting up, usually after using with jet hose. Good idea to post your prob separately as it'll get more attention. I hope it'll get sorted and be something quite simple.

I have had mine on for about 9 months now, and had not had any problems.Although just last Sunday on the motorway  home my warning light came on to say that  a bulb was out, pulled into a service station to check it out, and the light went off by itself, Not come back on yet either.

I'm hoping it's just having a funny few days. It did it on the way to work today, but not on the way home, although it's mainly left turns. I'm glad I'm not the only one it's happened too, mine's just more persistent at bugging me.

I have thought though that it may not be the valeo ones causing the problem, I have had a dodgy left wing mirror indicator for a  couple of months now , so it could be them causing the error.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me, when we had the cold weather. No problems since so im calling it a one off.

Only think I have had problems with is the left side steaming up, I have checked them a few times, and tightened the nuts as far as I dare and it still steams up. Good luck with sorting yours out!
