Thats the one I have in mine, so upto now what have you done in the way of wiring, Is Steve's loom a plug and play?  or one that needs the wires crimping into the headunit loom?

Steve’s loom was just a 2 wire plug in to the green connector for the microphone, pins 1 and 7, microphone in; all the grey wires were marked with the pin numbers. The only two that were not marked were for the microphone out low these traced back to the Bluetooth module under the driver’s seat, pins 11 and 12. Its only this or the can bus wiring high and low the wrong way around but I’m sure its right.   :scared:

That's sounds like the original loom is missing one or more of the 12v, earth or CAN Hi / Low connections.

How did you connect into the power and can connections on the quadlock connector?

You've got a break in the CAN wires on the infotainment Bus, likely caused by when you've made the connection to the telephone.  You'll need to sort that first as the Gateway won't 'see' the Telephone if the CAN isn't connected.

The line output I would say is possibly a speaker wire disturbed during the install.

When you made the connections were you referring to the sticker on the headunit?

Can high pin 9  orange/lilac
Can low pin 10  orange/brown

Earth pin 12 brown
power either pin 15 or 16 red

That should be fine, make sure the can high and low is twisted together upto the quadlock otherwise you may get communication problems

Eddie supplied the wire connector and it was just take out

Remove Earth Wire (Pin 12) from Radio Housing Plug and insert into PIN2 on plug
Remove Power Wire (Pin 15) from Radio Housing Plug and insert into PIN1 on plug
Remove CAN Hi Wire (Pin9) from Radio Housing Plug and insert into PIN3 on plug
Remove CAN Lo wire (pin10) from Radio Housing Plug and insert into PIN4 on plug

This was already wired into the loom, there were 2 wires left which I was not sure about but had to go into the green plug as they were the right size pins. These were pin 4 and pin 9, microphone out. Too dark now, but will take pictures tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys.

Have been out this morning and double checked the wiring and it is wired correctly for can high and can low, the + and – are in the correct place and as far as I can tell all the wiring in the green plug is correct. Have now disconnected all the wiring that I have fitted so am now back to where I was before fitting the Bluetooth kit. Think I am going to have to remove all the wiring and check through the connections. Not today as its persistently raining.  :fighting:

Right, with everything to do with the Bluetooth disconnected and VCDS on the car after clearing the fault codes it comes back with this:

01-Engine -- Status: OK 0000
02-Auto Trans -- Status: OK 0000
03-ABS Brakes -- Status: OK 0000
04-Steering Angle -- Status: OK 0000
08-Auto HVAC -- Status: OK 0000
09-Cent. Elect. -- Status: OK 0000
15-Airbags -- Status: OK 0000
16-Steering wheel -- Status: OK 0000
17-Instruments -- Status: OK 0000
19-CAN Gateway -- Status: OK 0000
25-Immobilizer -- Status: OK 0000
37-Navigation -- Status: OK 0000
42-Door Elect, Driver -- Status: OK 0000
44-Steering Assist -- Status: OK 0000
46-Central Conv. -- Status: OK 0000
52-Door Elect, Pass. -- Status: OK 0000
55-Xenon Range -- Status: OK 0000
56-Radio -- Status: OK 0000
62-Door, Rear Left -- Status: OK 0000
72-Door, Rear Right -- Status: OK 0000

Will remove the wiring loom from the car for the Bluetooth and check all the connections next.

I think you ought to be able to check the cable without removing it to be honest.

I'd start in the region of the headunit end and make sure the pass through connections are intact and correct.  Once you've done that use a multimeter to check from the large (telephone) plug back to the respective pin at the headunit end.

Edd has been in contact about this and has pointed me in the direction of the connections that he made, so will start there first. Have left the car so that I can just remove the dash panel and get to the loom through there as it will be quicker than removing the sat/nav.  :happy2:

Right this is where the connections are going from the green plug on the back of the sat/nav.
Green plug number   BT Plug under driver’s seat (Blue)
1   Mic -
2 Empty
3 Empty
4   12
5   3
6   9
7   Mic +
8 Empty
9   11
10   16
11   4
12   8

Plug split into loom (Terminals removed from existing loom)
Edd’s connector   BT Plug under driver’s seat (Blue)
1   1   Power
2   2 Earth
3   18 Can High
4   17 Can Low

All connections are good and have continuity.

Do I need to move some of the connections around as the grey wires are marked with the pin numbers for going in to the green plug,
but checking here

http://www.my-gti.com/173/volkswagen-skoda-bluetooth-pinouts

these numbers do not seam to tie up. :scared:
