means nothing without the wheel width as well. they would fit ok without rubbing on a 7.5j wheel just, and would be 22mil further out than stock on a 8j rim which is rubbing issue territory for sure.  :happy2:

these are....8.5j front 9.5 back which i presume will nacker my arches even with rolling them.

Hey Matsu,
There are that many sets of Alphards floating around, best to get a rep set, rather than consider doing big arch work.
I was seriously into a set of BBS RS alloys that would have required a hell of a lot of work to make them look half decent on my motor, blinded by the coolness of them.
Completely over it now, and just change my wheels about as often as my underwear now.

I'm sure my mate Andy is running 17x8.5 and 17x10 ET35 on his MK5 and running pretty low without too many problems mate, he runs a 205x45-17 on the front and can't remember the rear of the top of my head?

I'll find a pic of his motor for you...

There you go:

215x45-17 on the rear. ET35 all round.

Hope this helps

Callum

So just to confirm Callum your mate is running a 10in wheel 35et on the back lowered with no rubbing problems.  :chicken:

I take it he has yet to buy an engine for this car, as you cant go round corners with that spec unless you have concreted the springs and dampers solid.  :happy2:

Hope this helps.   :happy2:

That car looks dam cool!
But they are also 17s and dropped on it's ars.
The wheels I wanted are 18 merc rims 9.5 et 35 fronts so I'm stuffed.
Like big al says I think I'll find the lenso slr which are et 44, unless I can find just rears of the Alphards lol.
I'm not ready to do heavy arch work yet .... Unless someone in the biz needs a car to show off their skillz :signLOL:

I know he has some stretch on the tyres, & they are cambered more on the rear, & I think running that low scrubbing comes with the territory, but it can be done! Just don't expect to take it round any race circuits if you like your arches... :)
