I would look in the for sale section for an ED30 DSG shifter SteveP is selling one, all you will need is the leather and the damaged parts can be replace with your current ones.  :happy2:

I have done all mine in red and paid a lot for it, your best method is to just get the stitching re done on what you already have. I bought a ED 30 DSG golf ball knob then just swapped my original knob (ooer ) back on. Then bought a ED30 hand brake cover, as said far cheaper to get your restitched.

The steering wheel will be a problem as the place i went to cant restitch a wheel all they could do is go over what was there, well they could but said the cost would be a lot as it is very labour intensive to do from scratch. So mine got done with red and white.   :happy2:

Did I sell you that handbrake cover TC?

Stu, give Mike at MJ interiors a call and ask how much they would charge.
Look in my build thread to see the level of work he does, bet he could sort you out in a day or so to get that sort of work done.

I'm looking to replace the parts in my car as the steering wheel has marks on it where hand controls were clamped onto it by a previous owner the shifter an the handbrake are not in the best condition either so restitching is not really an option or I would get that done when I get my recaros retrimmed in leather with red stitching so if somebody can give me a rough idea what these parts would cost new and what they go for second hand in good condition

I remember somebody had a MFSW for sale and it had red stitching added. Can't remember for the life of me who it was. He sold Chris his engine cover I think.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

As I mentioned in my original post Someone is selling an ED30 DSG gear stick in the for sale section you can use the leather part off of that.

Stu i am away at the minute, will be back home for the weekend, i am sure i have a nearly new unmarked DSG knoooob sitting in the garage, i just cant remember quite what it is, because i think i have a Mk6 one in mine, which i swapped with PG because he wanted the golf ball bit off the ed 30 one i bought.  to replace mine.   :rolleye:
I hope thats crystal clear.     If all the bits are there you can have it for £40   :happy2:
