I'll third that, we've got a 50" Kuro in our living room and we've also got a 50" Samsung, the Pioneer is simply miles better

If it were me, I'd wait until May when the VT30 comes out. It's bound to be an improvement over the 20 series and it's a whole lot better looking with no plastic bezel.

I have a Pioneer plasma also (non Kuro) and its still much better than alot of LED TVs out there. We also have a fairly hi spec Sony LCD (40") and again, it cannot touch the Plasma, especially for blacks.  :notworthy:

To the OP, what Pioneer plasma do you have?

Pioneer PDP-436XDE
the one with a separate media box, it was the top TV when it was released won loads of awards and top marks.
Still works and produces an excellent HD Picture, just fancy going down the 3D road after seeing a demo of Avavtar on a Panasonic

Don't think so. Have a look at the link below for more details, as there will be 3 3D plasma ranges this year and some 3D LCDs to go with them. Think the 2011 range looks very Pioneer-ish, which isn't surprising, as Panasonic pinched all their TV engineers when they stopped making Kuros.

Not according to the link I provided and that info is direct from Panasonic themselves. Did you actually read it?

Says the 42 & 50 are out first. The G30 range looks to have a similar spec, so could save some dosh and get that one?

Went for the VT20, VT30 will have a price tag nearer £2500 when released, as id been waiting for the VT20 to come down from that price when released.
Really impressed with it
