I rang my local dealer (lookers Teesside) last week to book mine in (54reg) they told me they had never heard of this recall!
After being on the phone to them for ages and insisting they look it up, they finally confirmed there are issues with the coilpacks.
Anyway, got my 4 changed on Friday.

I went to SEAT about my 2006 built leon cupra to see if they heard of this recall. Surprise, surprise, no knowledge of it at all! This is despite my car missfiring at idle since I got it 2 years ago!

SEAT customer service is IMHO the most rubbish of all the VAG group. Hopefully some point in the future (probably 2 years time) they will issue the same recall.

defo not but he said vw are doing it in stages so try back in about a month and see if its changed

Perhaps it's the same as the batches of plaques that they issued to the Ed30

Actually, I have noticed quite a bit more pull since getting it done, also after my cambelt I had noticed a slight (very slight) judder on idle....this is all gone now funnily enough.  :happy2:

It's horrendous, breaks are squeaking everytime I put my foot down on them. It cant come soon enough! I saved myself about £500 on buying the car so just using that towards it which isn't too bad!

Plus I have brought my Local VAG specialist alot of business so they may give me a wee discount

Interesting how easy was it to get them to agree to doing the plugs at the same time FOC?

Got mine booked in week today 9 am, Burton Upon Trent, 4 free coils will go down a treat ..

Quick question, are they likley to update the cars software at all? and if they were does any one know how it would effect the stage 1 revo ?
