Not necessarily competitive ( i think thats asking for trouble)... just like a track day but hill climb stylie!

No I haven't done any.

Whether competitive or just for fun, the stresses on the GTI would be similar I reckon - She's just not the right horse for the course unless modified for it.

Some events are on tarmac, others up fields! Google?

Rich I'm sure there is a a kind of track day type thing at the Harwood House in Leeds, they have a hill climb course that is specifically tarmac :happy2:

You would need to check dates and bookings and also if its open to public or just competition use.

Yes but in a MK2, did the Scottish Sprint and Hillclimb champion last year, gearing up for this year...

I have been a spectator at Gurston Down near Salisbury.

More famous ones are Prescott and Shelsey Walsh.  :happy2:
