Exactly mate

Lact car of the day was Z of SCN. Full shebang S2+ REVO and its consistantly ran 360+bhp on all rollers and he made 364bhp today. Paul then proceded to overlay the graph with one of his own software mapped 2.0TFSI k04 graphs and said "thats the closest anyone has come to 'my' map".........

I'll prove that mine is fine (or otherwise) with logs  :happy2:

TBH, Paul does have a very good reputation for tuning cars - especially Jap stuff and French clutter.

Pushing the maps is probably a little OTT and that pic that Rich posted did make me LOL.
Golf R gone.

To be honest, i've had nothing but good things to say about Paul in the past and his work is normally top notch. But yesterday he was being a complete chopper...
To ask someone what software they have on there car just before putting it on the rollers, then say "oh dear, we've done 2 of these before and they were sh*t!!!" is IMO one way of getting someone's back right up. To then not run the car in 5th as well as 4th when the customer asks, like he did on Ryan's Revo'd Polo (also 7 speed), just rubbed salt in to the wounds and raised suspicions imo..
I'm certainly no dyno wizard or operator, but when my car has been on 2 other Dyno Dynamics rollers already and both times the operator has clearly stated that it needs to be run in 5th (something to do with running it in the gear that accelerates to 120mph the quickest, 4th only does 103mph), I got rather pissed off that Paul wouldn't just do at least one run in 5th to see  :fighting:
Add to that my tyres looking like fooking eggs on the run and it lurching forward trying to headbutt the fan and you could probably tell I wasn't overly pleased...  :sad1:
In the mean time I shall be taking mine on another set of DD rollers soon to get another opinion and see where we go from there..

Other than that rant, it was nice to see everyone again (and some new faces). Also good to see some seriously powerfull VAGS again on the day (I will miss mine a bit I have to say  :sad1:).
Also a big  :congrats: to Ryan again for another well organised day. Although from what I gather, I don't think he will filling RS Tunings diary with RR days in the near future.

Oh and Rich,  :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :signLOL:

It was good to see old and new faces yesterday,Heard good things bout Rs tuning so I was very surprised at Pauls attitude towards peoples cars with different maps on them,as Ben mentions can't understand why he wouldn't run it in the right gear.
Hope Dom gets his car sorted..

Ben,

Y do u need another RR opinion for your car? You've had 2 already!

I'm sticking to my preferred RR from now on - SRR - and only put it on when I've done some performance mods that i think has affected the bhp / torque output.  :happy2:

So what happened to Dom's car? Is that the chap who went Revo / PDT / Shark?

Yep, got to do a nice 6hr drive next saturday to get this sorted :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:
Made the lowest torque of the day out of all the edition 30's, even the stage 1 maps did better.
Whereabouts are we going to go next for north east rr days :stupid:

Dom, I would take that graph with a pinch of salt, something has gone wrong during that run and I dont think there is a definite issue with the Shark software.

Firstly, you have a run which starts at 2250rpm and ends at 6000rpm. The tfsi K04 will build boost from 1800 rpm, if you start the run late in the rpm range you can struggle to hit full load (this is software dependant)

Secondly you are still making power when the run has ended, I know your car well and even with stock dsg software you will still be making power at 6450rpm. For some reason the run was stopped at 6000rpm.

I am not saying that your test wasnt carried out incorrectly, dyno operators have their own preferences, I would have started the run at 1800rpm and finished at the shift point.
