Yep, I think that all our brains are hardwired into spotting other GTI's at hundreds of yards!

Alternatively I could stand on the roof and drop my trousers like I once did at Santa Pod.....Sort of

Shall I bring a loud-hailer? - "STAND CLEAR OF THE CAR!....STAND CLEAR OF THE CAR!"

Was cool meeting you chaps, nice to see some familiar faces and give halloos to people I've not seen before. Pub lunch was really rather good (cheers Chungster) and F&F was quite a fun film as well... all in all, a good time was had by all  :drinking:

I arrived late, as usual, and found that all had decamped to the pub!

WhiteGTI has one of the nicest Golfs I've seen (I admit I've got a soft spot for Candy)

Some survivors after the movie...

I'll photoshop the one with the flames later on Chungster

Oh... and here's to the old Grand Duke of Golfs, Red himself!

And what was I talking about in my photo!? Very weird facial expression lol!

Great photos, was good to meet some new faces, and see old ones again!

Not too bad actually. Typical Vin Diesel/Fast and Furious stuff. :happy2:

Nice to meet you all by the way.

A small but really nice meet, and a first as we watched a movie together - Perfect for a wet grey Saturday afternoon and I enjoyed the movie.

The food was good too - I think my Rhubarb Crumble was homemade , and the service was excellent. Just a pity that the waitresses didn't look like the Babes in the F&F movie!

I was very impressed with your APR zorst outside sound, Chris - Rather track car-ish and sporty. Looking forward to hearing it one day from inside.

Neo - I'm now hot for a Defi!! It's all your fault! I'll either email you or PM something about it I want to ask.

Btw, the skies were blue and brightly sunny about 50 miles away to the West.

This was a nice meet - Perhaps we should meet at 12noon and catch a movie again - Arrange the meet around a good movie - Not every meet but occasionally.

I did a 280-mile round trip.

:happy2: 8) :happy2:

i thought it was good...some cheesy bits (no surprise), can't believe they killed letty off that early! Mia looks lush....

but that drag engined dodge with the direct air intake and no filter, would never survive in those dusty conditions! LOL

great way to kill the bad guy tho. hahahaha.

Thought it was quite a "fun" film, don't go there looking for brains
x2 on the food as well that was some pretty good fish and chips!

The sound of Chris' APR RSC has made me want one desperately now, but as I say I've got a million things to fix/do to the car before I can get it.

@Red, I rate DEFI best of all the gauges (Lee's with me on this as he used to have a bunch in his scoob). I'll let you know when I've fabricated my housing for 'em, the entire dash should look rather neat. Unfortunately the colour match isn't perfect but it's not the worst in the world. I'm not brave enough to crack a £150 gauge to change the LEDs on it to indigo blue, but I changed the LEDs in the Control Unit to red to match all the red-lit switchgear. That's a hefty drive though!

LOL at the no-filtered supercharger... but some decent cars (and girls!) in there though.

Edit: Was a nice meet though, we ought to turn it into a semi-regular thing.
