Nice idea but you have probably bought the fuel to last the week so they still get their slice.  :sad1:

Lots of ideas like this have been bandied about for years, but no-one ever actually does it. Not buying from a certain brand was another one.

having done the maths i reckon something with zero road tax will be joining our fleet for daily hack duties to take the strain off the other two

If it keeps the paupers off the roads then I'm all for it!

I hope that was tongue in cheek!

Its kind of true though, no matter the cost, i will always have a car. I can afford to put as much money as i need into it in petrol. Luckily, i dont drive mine on a daily basis. But even if i did, i could afford it if it was £2 p/l.

Your a very lucky person. If this carry's on this will have a serious knock on effect. There are huge problems shifting cars on forecourts as it is and the economy is suffering greatly in middle England. A friend of mine in a major VW franchise are having to lay people off all over the place due to lower profits. There are people being repossed everywhere in the UK and the high performance car is a dying breed...diesel and 1.4 turbo cars are the future!
