Samsung Galaxy Tab has anybody got one?

Anybody got one?

Whats it like?

Please no 'don't bother buy an iPad' as even though I was a big Apple fan I am not so keen at the moment and its too big.

I have been looking at the new HTC Flyer too but its not out for a while.

I went to a currys shop recently and they had them all on display to test, I had a spare 20mins so had a play but nothing came close to the ipad.

Go and have a play with all of the offerings, see which one you like the most i suppose is the easiest way.

They'll probably get better when Android 3.0 is released, as that is the first version to be optimised for tablets. There will be a whole raft of new tablets out over the next few months, so I'd hold fire for a little while. Check out the Motorola Xoom for just one example.

Yes I believe your right, it would be June anyway.

I was going to buy a Kindle at about £155 but thought well if I am spending that maybe a Tablet could be another option?

I know the kindle has a special screen for reading but will check out all the options first I think.

Like I said the iPad is too big to hide at work when reading a book or watching a film.

May still get a kindle but will wait for another Generation on that too.

Yes, rumours are abound that iPad 2 may be a little smaller, possibly a 7 incher. All rumours at the mo', Apple are very good at keeping stuff secret!

But Steve Jobs actively said the iPad would not be smaller and couldn't see the point of the 7" tablets?

Its all rumour that so I will wait anyway I think.

Someone leaked a photo of a cover for the new ipad and it does look a lot thinner.  There was also talk of 2 size's of ipad but we should find out soon because I think the release date is April!

Tried the Galaxy, but has the same problem as the ipod, it's running an operating system designed for a phone. Android 3 (honeycomb) or the new HP TouchPAD OS feels far better to use
