Hi and welcome.

There's a few ECU remap companies which are favoured by other forumites. Have a read in the Mods sections and see what others are getting on their remaps.

Don't know about tracking data but if you look at the posts by wheels-in-motion, you will realise proper tracking makes things so much beter.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

thanks for the reply.....i have been trawling through the pages and i am still unsure,i do like the idea of the bluefin or revo where the standard base map can be re-loaded...giac dealer near me is rather arragent and a lot pricier than others.....if somone can answer the question no.3 i would appreciate it as the car is booked in tuesday and i dont want to loose the map..thanks martyn

ha ha..just found the answer..yes it will over-right the map(thought so)
with all the bad posts about stealers i am going to insist i wait with the car,and monitor its every move..i am a technician myself and have asked them to just supply the coilpacks, but as always they have to do things by the book..i am dredding it..alos one and a alf hours does seem a long time to do a 10minute job..i dont want them to wash it or even drive it if i can help it,i know what goes on behind closed dooors when the customer is not present..soory if this in the wrong section
