Tyre size's for 19's????
« on: February 25, 2009, 04:26:41 pm »
Hey all I'm after some info from your good self's  :happy2: As most of you no I picked up a set of 19'' Bbs splits at the weekend which are going for a refurb in the next couple of weeks! I was in at my local tyre garage last night on the way home from work looking for a good deal on a set of tyre's Now I was told 235/35/19 would be the size I'd need! Currently I'm runing 225/40/18 Michelin Pilot Exhalto's which I find Great :happy2:

Here comes the fun part for 4 of them in 19'' It will cost me 830quid  :surprised: with a friendly discount whereas they'd be 1147 without :scared:

So any other recomedations would be good bearing in mind the car has 320bhp goin through the front wheels :driver: I'm after a good tyre!

Thanks in advance

go with 225/35 ;)
Why, as that'll make your speedo inaccurate?
Without traction power is nothing!

I know its not much help Toastie but i have just paid £ 760 odd for 4 PS2 in the size you want, that was 20 % off at costco.
Now it still felt like a kick in the knackers but as you say 19s are silly money. IMHO you need to bite the bullet and get those lovely wheels the best you can afford, as they wont look nice upside down in a ditch.
By the way these tyres were sorted for me by StevePG who as usual is always helping me and i owe him a beer.  :drinking:

the Toyo T1r is a reasonable tyre too cost wise, comparable to the ps2's in the dry but skittish in the wet
