VW Badge on Keys
« on: February 28, 2011, 08:01:42 am »
Hey Guys,

Sorry if this has been asked before! Where are you able to get replacement VW badges that are on the Keys?

The one I have is the rubbish metal ones and the paint has come off!

Thanks  :happy2:

Same  here, I bought a Wolfsburg one off ebay and scratched it after about 5 days,  got a refund though.
Best to go without and when you  sell the car buy a couple for the new buyer.

Don't use the self-adhesive stuff.
Remove this crap, clean both surfaces carefully and go for some plastic glue.

its not the glue thats the issue dude it the fact that the metal badges are merely printed logos onto a brass disc so over time they chip and scratch and end up looking sh1t, the standard VW logos are rubberised for this very reason  :happy2:

I had .:R logos and went back to rubberised ones from the dealer  :innocent:

These rabbit badges are clear coated, no brass or like that.

But if I would like to have still a Volkswagen logo I'd prefer original VW for quality.

I have seen plastic ones (well my friend who has an 08 Golf) has one on his keys, and it is a little thing but I like having the VW badge on the keys. Gives it that originality!

I had the same issue.  Replaced mine with some I got off ebay, and now they're scratched to bits again.  I mate of mine has a Golf Match and the badge on his key is resin domed.  Not a scratch on it.  Anyone know where I could get these?
