at first yes, purely as you start driving like a loon due to the smile you get when you boot it.  However driven sensibly my mpg improved by 2-3mpg

Yes I think you'll find after a Stage 1 map, you will burn some more juice, purely given the addictive thrust of a Stg1 car.
Goodness only knows how many times I've had to take the long way home recently. Car was mapped in December.
My Ed30 with Autotech high flow fuel pump, Dbilas Induction kit and Milltek downpipe/catalyst with a stage 1 Revo map is just fab. Good fun too..

Surely you're not thinking of getting this mod to improve your mpg

Good luck with that! It ain't gonna significantly happen.

How long is a piece of string? It all depends how you drive it. If you are being frugal then it will return a 2-3 mpg gain over standard, start booting it around all over the place and you will see lower fuel economy than standard.

Well my pieces of string measure 53cm , 60cm and 108cm.
My Bluefin allows me to use lower gears/rpm in and around town which helps my mpg around town a bit  ,elsewhere there is no change

....Be careful not to let your piece of blue string lull you into lazy habits and use the torque too much. Torque kills.

...."on a good day" is the giveaway  - Seeing anything over 30 mpg makes me wonder if I'm having a good day. I think that 33 mpg is the most I have ever seen.

Had my stage 1 for around 18 months now and in all honesty if you drive normally then the cold weather makes more of an impact on mpg than the remap. Of course the difficulty comes in driving it 'normally' with the added power.
On my 25 mile commute with a mixture of up, down and flat roads I usually get around 30 mpg. If I try though I can it up to 37 on the same journey but I can never be arsed.

Standard to stage 1 mpg stayed the same for me, stage 3 gives superb motorway mpg @ 38mpg but around A and B roads fairly sensibly driven gives around 31mpg.

I got 38mpg once out of my 2+ ED30 and almost died of boredom. My usual is around 28 :happy2:

....I'm the same. It's the difference between enjoying driving and it almost being a chore  :happy2:. No wonder so many motorists don't enjoy their journeys just sat there in their caccoon negatively thinking about their mpg.
