Newbie...Denny, Scotland MK5 GTI DSG (pics)
« on: March 01, 2011, 06:49:22 pm »
Hi how yous all doing? a member of another site recommended i join this site so i though id give it a try and after a day on here its been more useful than practically every other site lol Anyway im Patrick im 23 and iv recently moved to Denny in Scotland. I think im on my 9th car already as i get pretty bored easily, i had a little 206gti which i loved and thats the car iv kept the longest at a little over a year lol but sadly it got stolen from me :( after that i bought an Audi A3 2l tdi sport which to be honest was a lovely car but just didnt tick any of the boxes for me. Had that for about 4 months before trading it in and buying my MK5 Golf GTI DSG in black, it came standard with the 17'' Monzas, heated seats, sunroof etc. i bought BBS CH alloys for my Audi which i took off before i traded it in and put them onto the golf, wish i bought the 19s instead of the 18s but wat can u do lol i enjoyed the GTI for about 4 months and the more i read the forums the more people kept going on about how much better it is with a remap, so off i went and got the car remapped, and i can see why everyone was raving about them! keeps a smile on my face   iv added a few subtle little touches aswel, i got half of the back bumper, the side skirts and the front splitter painted black. right av probably bored u enough already so heres a few little pictures! First is a picture of my old gti which will kinda show my style in modifying!

Old Gti (gives an idea of my style)

thanks for the replies, haha yep defo on the slippery slope to being forever skint! there always something else that i want to buy for the car that always seems to come first, and a nagging girlfriend who thinks i should be spending it on the house instead lol anyways next on the line for mods, im looking for a set of xenon headlights (expensive i know) but they look worth every penny, a set of r32 rear lights and then new wheels, really liking the diamond cut porsche turbo wheels......

and so far thats about it :)

Hi and welcome. Loving the rimmage.

When you get going with the rest of your mods, stick up a thread in the members' rides section.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
