Ipod problems!

hi, jus a quick message knowing if anyone can tell me where to get the lead tht connects under the ipod docking jack which is positioned in the arm rest.... plugged in the ipod and it doesn't work so went to get it checked... and the actual wire is missing when he pulled the compartment out! i went to VW and they are saying i need to buy the whole jack which comes  with the wire, which is £270!!! does anyone know where i can just get the wire?

Tell them what you want and see what the response is; if it helps I bought a wiring loom for my Bluetooth kit from them and it arrived after 4 days.
