Those LED's you have pictured are the same as what I have.. I ran them for half an hour and then took them out and touched the heatsink (as I was also concerned about the heat)

They were hot but I mean, not hot enough that you couldn't hold your finger on them for 2 or 3 seconds.. I think there great, certainly good quality etc..

Waiting for a response but hopefully we should be able to get them sorted..

the normal number plate bulbs get hot, if your car is dirty, and you drive it around with your lights on you will see the shadow on your bumper were the bulbs are placed underneath, it gives a clear outline of overheated bulbs..

i think this might of chaged on the 2006+ gtis i dunno.

but with an l.e.d guess it coudl get even worse  :surprised:

The LED's are cooler than the standard bulbs on mine.. Just from touching them though..

Will these bulbs fit underneath the mirrors if you have the puddle lamp illumination option???

Saw an Audi A6 with bright blue puddle illumination at it looked pretty 8)

No, the puddle lamp illumination are 501 W5W bulbs, the same as the sidelight bulbs.
