It's a great car, there's no point in saying "you'll never do that speed" because when will you do 150 in a GTI on a public road? It's just knowing that it can go 268 mph. You can't compare it to other cars, it really isn't like any other car ever built. If you take the figures and speeds it can do, they are nowhere near any normal car, the price and servicing costs reflect this. Somebody who can afford this car will have other cars, so practicality is not important. As for the styling, function over form! It's an engineering marvel and is one of the best cars in the world.

what makes it the best?

at achieving the figures on paper, yes. its technically a marvel... until someone creates the next one

thats all though

its not the best in the looks department

its not the best at carrying a scaffold plank home from B&Q

its not the best at holding 4+ people in comfort

for a car to be the best it has to be good at a multitude of things, not just technically imho

sure if you owned a fleet of cars and you were thoroughly minted and it was merely part of a collection then sure...... but its at that point you can refer to my list of 5  :P

Never at any point did I expect the words 'German Fanny' and 'Victorian Fireplace' to be used in this thread..  :signLOL:

Does that mean the Skoda Yeti is better than a Buggati Veyron SS as well then?

Put it this way:

If i won the Euro Millions triple roll over then this car would be on my list to have, not the first but it would be on there.

Of course it would be the Anthracite Assassin

Seriously though it would be this

Which i would then hop into and drive to the showroom and order this (Pic Courtesy of Mr H  :notworthy:) which would be the daily run about

Sabine - Yes, although I suspect she's got a funky 80's german fanny that looks like a barber's bin.

Thats nearly as funny as the one you came out with over on Uk-mkivs, which I still giggle at randomly now

She's got a pair of t1ts like two wombles looking over a balcony

Class ....just class

You're a very funny man Mr R.

as a piece of engineering is stunning, as a car its got looks only a mother could love

Agree. It looks like a bulldog liking p1ss off a thistle!

Truly stunning piece of over engineered lovelyness but it needs a make over!
