I wish I had you engine. When I bought my car I had to chose between the 122 and 140 engines and I chose the wrong one.
Drive safe!

rex - it hasnt let me down yet and i know there knowin to blow up but touch wood its been ok upto now - its a torquey wee thing but as its still a 1.4 its sh*t at top end but when ur in the supercharger/turbo range it still pulls in every gear and does me - although when you in rubber toes car i wanna get a gti aha

i made the mistake of doing an ECU software update in work which at the time didnt realise it drops the performance ( IMO thats what it was for anyway) lol cos after i done that i have what i call a flat spot between 2300rpm and 3000rpm as were before the update it was just a constant power flow but im assuming thats vw's way of stopping these blow up aha

Im just hoping a wee map sorts that out :O :happy2:

a big selection of mods there already, have you thought about either a GTi front bumper or small splitter just to bring the depth of the front down to match the skirts?

I had sourced a gti front bumper and had a done deal which has now fell through
so im on a hunt again lol

if i dont get that im gonna smooth the front no plate recess and the rub strips to make it look a bit different but id prefer the gti front end

Unlucky mate, I feel your pain! Someone done it and drove off leaving me with a nice crack and scuff! Did you get the person who done it? Could be a good excuse to upgrade to a gti front bumper though  :happy2:

GT grilles a think man
cant source a GT grill with no holes or number plate however so atm i have a USA Gti grille but if it looks good i may keep :D

Car is now mapped and goes well :O
Is unknown how much gain it has now as it still needs rolling roaded :O

The gloss black 'mask' on the GT grille is removable. Its a pain in the ass to get off but it does seperate.

I'm not sure on the GTI mask but if it does you could swap them over  :happy2:
