S3/R32 Rear Brakes (finally done!)

I had mine done all at once and they feel a whole lot sharper. Most of the braking is done at the front anyway and various places I went to for fitting told me I only need the fronts but I decided to get the rears done too purely down to them being bigger and ventilated too. Also, as RR says, better balance

Can I ask how much of a difference you actually notice with this modification.

....Not exactly the same brake setup I know, but...   With AP's on the front, when I replaced the stock rears with the S3/R32's I experienced an immediate and very noticeable feeling of being better balanced and 'planted' more evenly under hard braking. I have the standard pads on the rears.

You needed  some persuasion RR.  I seem to remember....................

....You remember well, Dave! I most certainly did need some persuasion  . But I listened and learnt

Hi flyboy, had news this week mine should be ready this weekend ,So some time in the very near future mine will be going on the car .Did you work out the total cost off your set up .

Did you sell your old stock GTI brakes ?

I sold my front set within days  for £150 , I will clean the rears and post them up for £100 either here or Ebay .

Doesnt seam any point on keeping them as i will never refit them ,it may help someone else who wants some bigger rears as well.
