Projection foglights...an earlier golf feature. Changed to reflector ones in later models

There are two GTI's on my drive at the moment both 05 registered mine has the non projector fog mates has projector type.  There are quite a few striking differences between the two especially as they rattled off the factory only a couple of month apart.

If you need any games consoles or games, accessories, etc etc, PM me for my best price,

Inside door handles are different material, steering wheel leather is a different colour, finish on the metal parts of the DSG lever are different old one is brushed aluminium mines chromed, mirror control switch is the older style with heating in the central position (same as MK4 or Leon switch positions) This might just be a perception or treatment over the years but the leather in the older car feels softer and hasnt worn as much as mine.  His car also has the diversity aerial gubbins under the driver seat.

Interesting stuff! Amazing how they change things to save money

With regard to the leather, Ill agree with you there. That was about the era VW started PU coating their leather, as my old Polo GTI (2000) had proper quality leather that was really soft and absorbed leather cleaner properly lol

Interesting as the leather is nice in his car wonder if he will notice a switch

Both cars a 5 door joe so couldnt compare the rear window seals, and I dont have the ashtray just the open cubby but I have to say the brushed aluminium one in his car looks good.

Some of the older features are still on my car such as the blue tinted glass and the metal trim and I have to say I prefer the blacker steering wheel leather and the feel of the door handles in my car although I would be really happy if I didnt have a great big aerial sticking out the back of my roof!  :sad1:

Its Black plastic , my interior doorhandles are like brushed ally finish (quite similar to the interor metal trim on dash and door cards) , 05 reg. Are there any pics of the 2 styles of foglight , as Im not quite sure what the differences are??

One fog looks like a xenon and the other has a like reflector like a normal headlight, I would guess as yours has a black plastic ashtray it is post price cut, mine is a 54 and has a brushed aluminium cover
