Visited PD Tuning
« on: March 13, 2011, 07:19:41 pm »
I went to PD Tuning on friday for a TBE exhaust fitting to my Golf GTI. It went for a Milltek non resonated system. I think the noise it produces is fantastic especially when the DSG changes gear high up the rev range.

I also got the car remapped and that makes a huge difference to the cars performance. I can't believe how quick the speed changes when you just give the accelerator a little press. I can't wait for a drier day now to test the performance from a standstill as its been wet whenever i have been out. The car now produces around 246 BHP which i am very happy with.

I found that Dave knows the MK5 golf inside out when it comes to tuning them. Fitting the exhaust wasn't a problem either and he fitted the latest revision DV while he had the car on the ramps. This turned out to be one of the harder jobs as the bolts were hard to remove, due to them having some thread lock on them .

I really don't know why i waited so long before doing these mods, all i can say is if your thinking about it go and do it. I know the noise and the extra power have me smiling every time i get behind the wheel.

I just need to say thanks to Dave for transforming the golf into a totally different car. :happy2:

I had the stage 2 done over a year ago now, just called in as I was passing that way and got a quick bit of recoding done for doorlocking
