Reg not recognised at Main Dealer's parts dept...

Should I be woried?

I tried calling for prices on trim parts (drivers internal door pull) and they did not recignise the reg so asked me for the vin which as I don't yet have the car I didn't know.

Car might of had a plate change or is an import? If you're looking to buy the car and you're worried in that regard maybe do an HPI check? PM me the reg number if you like I can see what comes up

I can help with part numbers, which part(s) are you after? and are they for 2 door or 4 door model?

As long as the registration on the car as well as the VIN matches your V5C form I wouldn't worry. As said, do a HPI check anyway to check it's history.

my private plate still does not show up at vw main dealers been on the car about a year now

I just got hold of the seller. It was formerly on private plates..but also the new plate that was ordered was made up incorrectly and appeared incorrectly in the ad photo but was changed when we saw it - one letter slightly diferent!!
