Problem viewing forum with Google Chrome
« on: March 14, 2011, 01:18:05 pm »
I switched to Google Chrome from IE last week and since then I've been having problems with it.

When I log in and click show unread posts since last visit, it shows me zero posts. It only happens if I havnt been on in over an hour. If Im browsing the forum and click it, I will get the new posts since I logged in.

Any ideas? If I cant find a solution I will be going back to IE :fighting:

TIA
Kevin

I use Chrome and dont have that issue.  Not sure how the forum tracks visits to produce the list of un-read threads but could be cookie related so worth checking your security settings in chrome and at least allow them for this site.

not sure then could be worth a pm to SteveP who runs the site to ask if there are any known issues with the new version of chrome.  If you do give up on it then dont go back to IE use firefox instead, it safer than IE and has better built in functionality.

Do you click on "show unread posts since last visit"?

If you do and get no posts, you should be able to click on "Click here to try all unread topics"

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Ya I tried that too. I use IE to view this forum and Chrome for everything else.

I tried it on Chrome just now and it only displays the new posts since I logged in with IE.
