Clicking from the front brakes
« on: March 14, 2011, 05:58:11 pm »
Just started to happen recently.... if i'm driving slowly forward and apply the brakes the i get a metallic clicking noise (bit like the sound when your engine is cooling down) It also does the same in reverse. Could it be the carrier pins are knack'd?

Had the same when i was running standard brake set up. It is still slightly there but nowhere near as prominent. Its just the pads moving from there possition, nothing to worry about.
If it helps our Ferrari 360 did the same when we ran Mintex. (Doesnt do it now with other brand of pads  )

No worries mate. It was even worse when the car was put away wet, left for a few days then driven out the workshop, brutal clunk when it finally free'd off  :ashamed:

Take car out. Drive it like you stole it. Go back home only after <18mpg and the smell of hot brakes start to make you sick. Revel in your now quiet brakes.   - Italian de-glaze. done
