Probably not Tara £10 to get in and not a lot of action at all club stands are rather empty.

But I can see some blue skies coming so by 1pm who knows might be nice! Track will still be very wet tho and I still
want to get a ride with jimbo in the JKM Octy

Well I'm back home! Day started with a deluge but finished with blue skies and a dry track!  :driver:

My thanks to Weston, Hedge, Chris Ellis, Ian Mac (Roc Central) for turning up despite the weather (it was much better in the afternoon). Tara and Simonp turned up later when the rain cleared.

Good to see SteveP and NeilM enjoying some track action in their track toys.  Well done to Neil for making the Redline togger throw up on his first track assignment.  :signLOL:

And big thanks to Kate, Keith, Jim and Nick @ JKM for providing excellent passenger rides to myself and others and for a very good cause!  :happy2:

Did 3 sessions in my car but the stock 345mm discs really didn't like continuous heavy braking so a brake solution is in order me thinks.

Yup put in new discs and pads last month but the combo really didn't like today's work. Jim had some trick Ferodo pads in his car and they were working ok on 345mm discs. The brake judder was getting worse the more laps I did! They're ok now tho once cooled down

I would say overall it was a good day even after a good soaking this morning.

Enjoyed seeing some faces, old and new, and believe it or not I have a touch of sunburn.  :ashamed:

I must admit to feeling sorry for JKM and some of the other stall holders as the lack of people was painful to see.
The JKM Octy and Mk3 Golf spent all day lapping the track, wet or dry, putting some serious machinery to shame.  :congrats:

DaveB is selling some TTRS 4 pots at for ok money at the moment (i think). I dont suppose 345mm brakes are designed for 320bhp to be thrown at it continuously :signLOL:

Thanks to Lee for booking the club stand despite the reduced numbers due to the weather  :happy2:

As always good to see the normal faces and some new ones too.

Shame to see the Bora of Win on the back of the tow truck but glad the guys are OK as it looked pretty nasty  :scared: :scared:

For those reading wondering what's going on - Well I've gone and earned my tyre wall badge Just after exiting old Paddock the car slid, managed to catch it quickly but it set up a nice tank slapper that resulted in a trip into the tyre wall. Combination of too fast for the conditions and me running out of talent. Main thing is both driver and passenger are unharmed and the car will live to fight another day. Just panel damage and a wee bit of other damage so we're confident it'll be back on the road in a few weeks.

Absolutely....that's what I did when I sold my Edition 30....ran out of funds tp finnish it off (It needed another 5-6K!!)

Was there today running my white 2 litre 16v with my mate in his white  A plater MK2 (He's Ex Tim Stiles when back in the good old days) Both have same spec cars.
Cheap as chips to run on track in comparison with MKIV/5 's...been there bought the t shirt!!

Great day in the pm....loads of track time too. Can't wait till October.
Pearl Black Edition 30 3 Door. DSG. (3rd Edition 30)
Maybe on the too do list: APR Stage 2+, KW Clubsports, Brakes, Diff.
