few questions
« on: March 17, 2011, 12:26:44 pm »
Hi all, had car 2 weeks now and love it. A few questions? Whats highline and whats midline, I am assuming its that thing on dash board?

Whats MFSW ?

I have folding mirrors, should the passenger one dip when I reverse?

I have parking sensors, how do I know when I am about a foot away? Is it a constant beep or closer beeps, not sure how I tell ?

When is the next meet closest to me ( Bournemouth) so I can ask more questions and let some one take me out in a stage one remapped golf lol

thanks all

Highline and midline is the dash display basically.

If, when your ignition is switched on, you get all the engine lights in the center of the instruments its a Midline.
If when your igntition is on (or off), and you have a door open, and you see a picture with a car with the specific door open which opens and closes as you do it, then its Highline

MFSW is a Multi Function steering wheel - buttons either side so you can control Audio, Navigation, Volume etc

Yes, providing its enabled. You need to have the mirror turned to the L position and ensure it is activated to dip on reverse in the higline settings

The beeps get closer as you get closer to whatever you are reversing towards

Theres a great meet near Berkshire next week - Im going, and im just across from you in Poole  :happy2:

VCDS Scanning/Coding, RNS and MDI retrofits, and specialist mechanics services with VAGtek available - Just PM me for details.

Quite alot to be fair. Allows you to see what you are listening to, full MPG, tank range, navigation on screen if you have it

have you got the MFSW?

To change it, you need to be stationery, go into the options screen, choose convenience then mirror settings and its in there

Its next Thurs at 7.30 - ill be going from work, so leaving here about 6ish

I can see mpg, miles to fill up, average speed, etc , there is a pic of car if i have door open , i have no sat nav though and it doesnt tell me what I am listening too. I havent got mfsw either.

I will need to try to find this options screen I have never seen that.

I may go to this meet, someone can tell me how to use my car lol
