the papers reckon japan are looking at  upwards of £200Bn to rebuild.

The japs will have it all done in though, a very resilient nation.  Always at the forefront of technology, so no doubt what they rebuild it with will be tsunami and earth quake proof.  I
 
Id imagine they will look at more sea defences.  Theyre probably considering bolting the Teutonic plates together with some enormous expansion bolts.  Maybe we'll be seeing the great wall of japan very soon
