Hiya

Thanks for replying.... Good to hear from you.

I got my new one two weeks ago and unfortunetly I got the ESP light thing which I have had to fix as I did not get a warranty with the car.  Since I got her back (VW Garage did it for me along with the timing belt) there is a hissing noise coming from the left hand side of the car when I rev.... is this a dangerous problem?  I just want to make sure shje is ok to drive and that I wont be putting me or the wee ones in any danger driving her till I get it looked at?

Sorry for being vague about this....

Cheers for any input..

Oh ok thanks for that.... i dont know that much about it but if i say to the garage it might help if i say its an intercooler pipe possibly.  Is that a safety issue at all? (girly question.. i know... lol)

I will have to take some photos of her a post them.  She is navy blue, which is quite unusal.  I like it though.  I have had two black ones and its just something a wee bit different....

Another question i want to ask .... is it normal to have whooping noise when i start to drive her?  I know it is the turbo woking, but my last gt tdi's did not do this, i just want to check to see if this may have something to do with the hssing too?

Thank yoooooo!!!

There is a chance the dealer took the intercooler hose off when replacing the belt, it may just be a case that its not fully clipped in, altho i blow a hose off mine and the 2 metal tags had worn down, in the end i had to replace the pipe bargain at only £26 from TPS

Hi and welcome.

this site will make you sell your soul to the devil to mod the car!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
