Hi all newbie here
« on: March 19, 2011, 10:24:40 pm »
Hi all im Phil from Devon, own a black mk5 1.9 TDI se, i was recommended to join here by Apollo13 (Lee)

abit about me, im 33 been a mechanic since leaving school and work for VOLVO ( :ashamed:) this is the first VW ive owned (well apart from a mk1 gti that i own for a week and sold on lol)
ive owned her for a year and in that time have done the following
GTI front end swap, GTI side skirts and rear valance, GTI exhaust and 18in rep alloys, jamax coilovers, HID headlights, Roose motorsport white coolant hoses, GT TDI seats, MFD2 headunit, centre armrest, powerflex bottom arm bushes, remapped to 140 by viezu, and today Lee fitted and coded my Gti highline cluster and MFSW, 312mm front GTI brakes

She has the normal SE kit, auto lights and wipers and the winter pack (headlight washers and heated seats) only found that out today that it was the winter pack, now some pics

so what do you think?
this to open a can of worms, what other recommended retrofits should i do and what is involed with doing them?
look forward to finding my way round  :notworthy:

Hi and welcome.

Love some of the mods.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
