Will this Cruise Control Stalk fit my car?

Could someone please confirm that a MK5 cuise control stalk with part number 1K0 953 513 A will fit straight onto an ED30 once it is coded in (08 reg, not fitted with a mfsw and with a manual gearbox) - see item 150579521992 on Ebay.  Thanks!

it will fit and work depending on what steering controller you have. (if it is one ending BC, you will have an issue)
Also it is an early version which were prone to problems with the contacts getting dirty, you would do better in finding a F or G version

Why not just get a brand spanker from TPS? It's cost probably a tenner more and you'll actually get a warranty on the part. The latest variant that I have listed is:

Change the stalk and code the ECU/Steering controller.

There is of course a little more involved than that when it comes to removing the airbag and steering controller but it isn't a difficult job.

You also need to ensure that if you have an early car it has the black/white wire to the ECU.

I agree entirely with Snapey, I don't see the point in messing with eBay ones.  Buy from VW with a warranty on the part.
