Lets talk exhausts...

ok so i need a bit more info before making an informed choice and going to stage 2.

you need a downpipe but then you get the option of a decat or cat - am i right in thinking that if you go for the decat it will be -

a.) cheaper
b.) produce more power
c.) potentially be an MOT failure unless you have a friendly MOT station who will run another car through for you on the emissions test?  

If C is the case think i will opt for the cat to be on safe side.

When it comes to the turbo back exhaust if you have the option of 2.5 inch or 3 inch will the larger bore again mean more torque/power over the 2.5 inch bore?

Option c should even be there as VOSA could pull you, take you're care to a test facility and check and throw book at you and test station... Get the uprated higher flowing cats...

so the decat is a bad option.

if it is illegal why are they allowed to be produced?  :confused:

Have just been reading Edition_30's thread on Milltek and Hurdy's thread on decat.

Would rather be above board than try to fiddle the mot or get pulled so will go with hi flow cat but still unsure whether to get 2.5 or 3.0 inch...
