Hmmm maybe Gladen kit could be on the cards, would they need to be amped?
In theory no. But it would be a shame not to.

I'm running a pioneer head unit, 50w output, better than a 510, but I assume amps are 100-150ish?

I'm no pro with car audio. So don't want to give any bad advice. But my hsk's sound better with more power going to them. I originally installed a 4 channel amp lost interest as the build was taking months so never installed the rear speakers. At the moment i'm running the front speakers bridged they sound pretty good. But any decent speakers running from the head unit will be an improvement over the stock setup.

If you are splashing out on some decent speakers deaden the doors.

Depends which amp you get!  But you can get a decent one for £150 2nd hand.
