Tim's TR GTI!
« on: January 08, 2011, 01:06:32 pm »
So after a week of waiting I finally got to pick her up!

Its a Tornado Red 2006 GTI with 17" Denver alloys for the summer. And really ugly 16" alloys for winter usage  :sick:
Its pretty much a stock swedish GTI with manual 6speed.

Things coming up is;
Colour coded
Remap
And Monaco Mirabeau 18" alloys for the summer. Going to use the 17" denvers for the winter. Ordered
Here's some pics I took the day after I got her home.....really dirty and im afraid to give her a wash because its minus 5-10 celius here in sweden.

Looks well.  Get it BSR mapped as its Swedish.  I lived in Sweden for 6 months in 2009.  Växjö University.  It really is a great country.  Loved the amount of volvo 740 that guys where sliding about in all winter, people really can drive way better than 99% of UK.  Snow does not stop the world.  Girls are unreal and the snus is very good.

I've looked at BSR but if I would get it BSR mapped, I would have to travel a looong way. So I decided to go with powerchip as its just around the corner and BSR's reputation isnt that great anymore here in sweden. I had a volvo 740 too when i just got my drivers licence and its a fun car to play around with :)

Love the pics. How does the car handle in the snow? I was having fun in the ice here!  :grin:

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Thanks:). The GTI isnt very pratical when theres lots of snow because the car is pretty low, the under side almost constantly scratches agaisnt the hardpacked snow that all the other cars are avoiding.

But im happy with the buy anyway, its an amazing car and I cant wait to get to test the power when all the ice and snow is gone! :pomppomp:

Thanks guys.

One more week and I'll put the new wheels on :jumping:

Still debating on wether I should lower it or not...I use the car daily and we get so much snow here in Sweden, tough choice :/

Booked in for GIAC stage 1 remap btw :driver:
