Good friend has one, they're quite light so not as bad on fuel as some 1.8Ts but still don't have the fancy skilz of FSI when you're tootling around.
Car handles fantastically, is awesome on its 312s with uprated pads/fluid and holds its money very well.
All he's done is change the Haldex for a race controller and battered it for the past couple of years, hundred or so of Ring laps and a good few track days, it's still going strong. Great car.
Oh, ensure it has the buckets - the no cost option standard seats are absolute gash, you spend every corner fighting to keep out of the door pocket or stop the handbrake going up your ass.
