Scirocco has w5w holders like sidelight bulbs unlike the golf which has festoons

The link is on the first page steve with the discount code  :happy2:

They don't flag any errors. You must ensure they are fitted the correct way, as LEDs only work one way round, so before you screw the holrs back up, pop the bulbs in and check they work!

Without sounding completely inept, but what does w5w vs festoons mean?  is there a version of those bulbs in the link which would fit a rocco?

Push fit bulbs instead of little tube bulbs

Google w5w and c5w. You'll see what I mean

Yes search for can friendly 501/w5w

Just received mine, fantastic I thought! But I've fitted them and one of them isn't working. I've tried it both ways.

What to do? How do I check it's getting any power?

Were both of the original bulbs working? Have you tried the one that's not working in the other holder?

Yes but I just thought the bulb had gone so I bought these. It must be the unit that's faulty. Do I have to replace the unit then or what? Cheers.

How do I do that? Have I got to access it through the boot?

Small screwdriver in the light housing to the right handside in the little slot

Very carefully push that in and pop the housing out - its bloody fragile though

some pics of mine which have been fitted for over 6 months with no error lights.  Excuse some dodgy letter removal but you get the idea.  2 photos are with different iphone exposure
