If you could that would be great.....do I need to buy anything else for this to work or would the cable I got (same as eBay) work with existing setup?

You'll need the rest of the MDI kit as the lead you have just connects the iPod to the flying lead of the control box.

I've still got your number so will be in touch tomorrow

How much is the extra part? Do you know the part number or where I can get one....if it's expensive then I'll have to make do with the current setup...wifes car cost me £600 yesterday  :surprised:

Definitely have to wait....but if you know how to swap the pins so it stops buzzing would be valuable for now.

Massive thanks to Martin (mb)

Swapped the pins over on the iPod connector....then got the VAGCOM out and scanned and coded where needed......now THAT is how the soundpack should sound....what a difference.

It's often a problem with units bought from eBay etc which are sold as plug and play 'no coding required'.

Think it sounds better when the engines not running though.....almost louder and with more bass.\

Could the fact the wrong CAN gateways installed cause an issue when the engines running?
