Does any upgrade count as a modification?

Hi folks, so if I was to upgrade my exhaust would this count as a modification that I would need to declare to say my insurance company? Apologies if this is a daft question but thanks for any input

As above yes but if it's just a cat back it shouldn't add anything to your premium.

TBH even adding a sticker can count as a mod and hence should be declared.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
