« on: April 08, 2011, 12:03:42 pm »
I've seen an article somewhere detailing what to follow when changing the steering wheel.

Any ideas?

Battery -ve off, remove airbag, centre steering wheel, undo Torx bolt, remove wheel whilst trying not to move slip ring.  Fitting is reverse  :driver:

Mark slip ring with marker pen? Think that's what you did with mine.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

If the same wheel is going back on I always mark the wheel relative to the steering column but in this case it wouldn't matter.  :happy2:
