Aye

Requires a bit of chopping of the parrot loom, but who cares  :signLOL:

A few more details from a post I made the other day

Quote
Buy 2 of this part number

000 979 009

And one of these:

12 Pin Green Flat Contact Housing (Plug) Radio/Telephone Connection - 3B7 035 447 B

Connect the wiring to these pins, and make sure you wire the Parrot wires appropriately - there will be three from the Parrot

Pin 6 –  Telephone audio input signal right, negative - Connect this to the WHITE wire
Pin 10 –  Telephone mute (mute switch for radio) - Connect this to the YELLOW wire **
Pin 12 –  Telephone audio input signal right, positive - Connect this to the RED wire

Crimp or solder them together, then pop each wire into its location in the housing. Youll need to pop the housing out its holder by sliding it out - its easy when you see it.

** The MUTE wire may not be connected to the radio at present - follow the loom that comes from the parrot to identify the mute wire. Its normally yellow on parrot kits, and connect this as above.

On the RNS510, if you dont connect the mute, it wont work   so make sure you connect it!

You will find that, as it has been connected up with an ISO loom, youll have to "make" the wiring for the three wires out of the parrot by means of extension. Youll have to get a pic of the parrot blue and black units with their wiring so I can tell you which ones

The volume on mine is fine (too loud sometimes!) and pauses my music instead of just muting it.

I got round to checking my Head unit/Parrot set up and it does pause the music but the volume doesn't work. I assume somethings not quite right...

Looking at the pic

Line- would be Tel R-
Yellow Mute would be Tel Mute
Line+ would be Tel R+

Parrots are just messy for integration - youd have to unplug both ISO adapters from that quadlock loom and just use those three on the new connector i mentioned above

Redev- on yours, they have connected the mute, but left the audio going through the ISO blocks rather than via the HU on the proper terminals

That sounds like it could be it as the volume on the parrot works but the output from the head unit/speakers remains the same while in call (although the display on the headunit shows the volume going up and down) when I adjust the volume switch/buttons on the steering wheel...

Is it just a case of switching one cable then?

I'm just trying to get an idea so when I go back to the installer I can tell them what exactly they need to do..cheers Alex

Two possibly three cables

It needs to be put into the 12pin TEL housing on the pins highlighted in my earlier post.
