Think I have damaged my car-any advice on what to do?
« on: March 31, 2011, 09:55:59 am »
Hi all, late last night I went to a takeaway, I parked my car in a space but when I returned I was kind of boxed in by another car so had to drive over part of the pavement to get out. When the car went over the pavement I heard a noise from of the bottom of the car as it hit against the road. Obviously I had misjudged how high that bit of the pavement was. I have had a look underneath this morning, from what I can see there seems to be a bit on the underside of the car which must be broken as its hanging a bit further down that the rest of it. Am really depressed and annoyed with myself. Any advice on what I should do? Can that bit be stuck back somehow or will I need to replace a whole section of the underside? Thanks for any help

probably just a bit of plastic trim, nothing to worry about.

There are 2 or 3 flaps on the plastic under tray that do hang down about an inch.... probably one of those that you caught!

Thanks for the input folks, got someone to have a look at it and indeed it is a plastic trim! Cheers
