Edition 30 brake upgrade
« on: March 03, 2009, 08:47:50 pm »
Hi whats the best way to upgrade the ED30 brakes on a budget? im thinking of pads at the moment unless i can find a cheap r32 set up?
Does anyone have any experiance of fitting upgraded pads?

the only thing you gain from the r32 setup is a bigger disc as they are still a single pot caliper, if i was you i would use better brake fluid and some better pads and that will be fine

R32 brakes seem to improve stopping power on mine, combined with some ferodo ds2500 pads im putting on front and rear soon, they are more than enough for a mapped ed30 :happy2:

Tornado red ED30, Revo stage 2, ITG Panel filter, 3" Blueflame turbo back exhaust, leon cupra front brakes, ecs dogbone mount, WALK kit, Eibach sportlines, Satin black Monza II's, VWR/sachs paddle clutch

I just have the leon cupra fronts which are the same as s3 and r32 and are already painted red.
The fronts are a straight swap, they just have different hoses and splash guards which cost me around £15 from vw :happy2:.

Heres a pic
