Wish I had been there but the Vulcan to the Sky Trust and Club were sworn to secrecy by the Airport.

Having said that though enough people on various forums seemed to be well informed on the subject.  :fighting:

Aye...one of the worst kept secrets... :stupid:

Will she be hangered at "RAF Finningley" then Ian? And is it a permanent home?
Cheers,

Wayne

LoL I didn't mean "stupidly" loud in a bad way.

I work daily with jets / helicopters (until recently the Harrier and love the nice they make) :)

Looks that way, I think it's a good thing and should give near year round access.  :pomppomp:

When I say rumour this was a bit of a giveaway. http://www.dsaf.co.uk/index.html

and when I say "detailed" I understand they cleaned the wings with something called WadPol. http://www.indestructible.co.uk/wadpol/

I can't see Jay rushing out to buy some in the near future. Maybe Swissvax or someone like that should have approached them and said we'll detail your plane.  :signLOL:

we used to use Wadpol years ago, for polishing the bare aluminium leading edges on DC9's, not seen it for ages but saying that the airlines don't hold exterior appearance in high regard anymore as it costs, it was like an industrial brasso

good so see the old girl out and about hedge :happy2:
