I found bubbling paint on the front n/s arch. Local painter is open till 6pm so off to see him for advice. Now the question is what can/should I do to prevent the rust returning.I have already shaved about 3mm off the liner but what else should I do? What has everyone else done

Take it back to VW dealer and get them to sort it under warranty or as a goodwill gesture. They have admitted this is a design fault after all. I got my wings sorted.

Great cars poor customer relations. I would rather sort the rust out myself than trust vw. One bad experience after another.
