Advise needed changing rear badge mechanism

Jus bought myself mk6 badge/mechanism my old badge had some serious white worm ,just taken quick look, bit of a mission to get to and replace!!!! , do i need to remove my rear wiper to get to the screws? if so how do i remove rear wiper without breaking it :laugh:

I didn't have to take off the wiper motor, just loosened 2 of them and pushed it up out of the way, can get to the third screw at a slight angle.

Ditto.....you could spend ages trying to get the arm of the iper blade off and not move a fraction.

Loosen motor...wiggle it and then use a screw bit and a pair of pliers......this is how I did it.

I managed to change the rear badge thanks for advise  :happy2:  tell you what thay dont make it easy do thay?? the third screw under the wiper motor which difficult to get too, wasnt tight so water got in muck and little rust where the old mechanism slotted in,which bit annoyed about. So make sure you tighten the screws!!! Mk6 rear badge looks 100 x better  :smiley:
