I hope you mean replacing the ones you already have   :scared:  if not getting some springs will certianly help  :signLOL:

On a serious note lots of people change the springs to lower the car slightly which will improve handling due to lower centre of gravity and some are also stiffened, lots of threads on it  :happy2:

To Come...NQSBBK, highline CCM.

Eibach Sportlines are an option worth considering, top quality and drop by 20mm but Weitec, H&R and KW offer good quality lowering that work well with standard dampers. Opted personally for Eibach as the Eibach pro dampers are valved by Eibach Sport. They work together pretty well.

Worth remembering though that there is no extra charge for changing dampers if your changing springs anyway.

I think the spring kits stop at 30mm.

You'd need coilovers to get any lower  :happy2:

I have a box for some Eibach springs, and it says on the box, lowers the car up to 50mm.
(not sure if you need a few bags of sand and an R32 engine in the front to get that though?!)

I used H&R springs that were £90 + £155 to fit. and they lowered about 25mm, I noticed the difference.
Coilovers give the real drops, but you pay a bit more for those.

Sounds like a steal mate! I'm keeping my eyes open for a set but booked a holiday which is robbing me of mod money!  :fighting:

Go on the Eibach website, it say something like 20-25mm I think but all I really can qualify is that the drop on Sportlines is as far as you'd want to go without rubbing and bumping. I'll post some pics when I get a chance but the front tyre sits almost on the wing rim and so does the rear. Looks well low to me but it's what YOU want at the end of the day. The Gti is'nt exactly high to start with so this drop makes a big difference.

The handling is still really good too and doesn't bump-stop or rub and handles really well, only thing now is some new anti-rolls and some new bushes.

For me any lower for road use would just be a nightmare to drive on anything other that the Rockingham Speedway short circuit.

Pics coming this week, but sure someone else has done this already.

Go for the H&R mate, only reason I would change mine is if I change to coilovers or go mad and get air ride
