Thinking of going with a jetta looking front
« on: April 01, 2011, 08:14:09 pm »
i have a mk5 gt tdi (57reg) and i want the chrome front that is on the jetta and the chrome bumper reinforcements but im not sure if they will fit on my tdi :ashamed: would it be just a straight swap for the grills or would i have to buy the whole bumper?

Here what i am looking to (google pic)

Hi mate,

The main grille will fit fine but the fog grilles only fit in the Jetta bumper AFAIK.

It will be a U.S part without the holes.....should be able to get it from VW but be prepared to pay ££££££

I don't know the part number though mate.

Try the american parts sites like partsforeuro.

Why not just wrap the black GT grill surround with a metallic vinyl?
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

Mile-muncher ordered: MkVI 1.6 TDi BlueMotion Match DSG with leather, winter pack, luxury pack, fogs, climate control, Dynaudio pack, RCD510 with DAB & MDI, flat tyre indicator

hi mate
bit of research gets me this.
http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-Golf_V--2.0T/Exterior/Body/Front_End_Conversion/ES1892594/

and they do r line foglight covers

i added some paddle shifts to the order and it came to fooking nigh on 500 squid!!
they wanted $289 to deliver.
so i,m on the hunt for bits.
i have found badgeless one on german ebay at 40 notes.-if that helps but its only main grill -i gotta source the other bits elsewhere.
