Set your Camera to Shutter Priority Mode - this wil alter the Apature to compensate for changing light as you pan.

Set shutter Speed to between 1/120 and 1/60 or if your feeling lucky 1/40.

I usually use ISO of about 400.

Workout how/if your camera has a 3D Tracking AF mode.

Then just practise mate try get a smooth motion and follow the car.

Here's one of mine from last year!

Exif data
Camera Nikon D300S
Exposure 0.025 sec (1/40)
Aperture f/25.0
Focal Length 70 mm
Focal Length 71.3 mm
ISO Speed 400

Thats what I'm after, I'll try the settings  :happy2:

I think I rushed into buying a camera, should have gone for a Nikon or Canon EOS.

Here's a tip for anyone thinking of taking up photography, dont buy a camera just because you like the colour (red Lumix G2)  :ashamed:

Neil i keep coming back to this excellent guide i found a couple years ago

From the panasonic website

"With AF Tracking, the DMC-G2 can lock onto any subject and keep it in focus even if it moves - making it easy to get beautiful, clear shots when a great photo opportunity suddenly arises. Simply aim, lock, and shoot"

Doesnt actually tell you how to bloody set the camera to use it tho! RTFM Job  :happy2:

Some good shots there mate!  I was there too, camera in hand.   I do go a bit crazy and took 511 shots (thank god for digital).

Will put some of money up on here somewhere if people don't mind...
